Communications, also referred to as Comms in some in-game instances, is a location in Among Us on all five maps.

Overview[]

When near Communications, players will hear radio chatter. Sometimes, a Morse code message will play. On The Airship, a dial-up modem noise can also be heard in Communications. The radio chatter is an audio file on loop.

The Skeld[]

Communications on The Skeld is a medium-sized room in the lower-right hand corner, located between Storage and Shields. It features two tasks, Download Data and Accept Diverted Power, which are located on the left and right side of the door, respectively, and a radio at the bottom used to fix Comms Sabotaged.

    • This is also the best place to shapeshift as a Shapeshifter as not many people come here due to there being little tasks.

MIRA HQ[]

Communications on MIRA HQ is a medium-sized room at the bottom of the map, above MedBay. Accept Diverted Power, located in the top-left corner, is the only task present. Next to that is a panel used to fix Comms Sabotaged, and besides that, the Doorlog ability, which marks all players that pass through Hallway.

Polus[]

Communications on Polus is a medium-sized room that is not directly connected to any other room but is located above Weapons. At the top-left corner there is a panel for Reboot Wifi, and a computer for Upload Data. To the left of Communications is a panel used to resolve Comms Sabotaged.

The Airship[]

Communications on The Airship is a small room located north of the hallway connecting Cockpit and Engine Room and opposite of Armory. The room is in the shape of a "U". It contains only one task, which is Download Data. Just left of it is a panel to fix Comms Sabotaged.

The Fungle[]

Communications on The Fungle is a medium-sized area located on the mountains, the players can get to here using the zipline directly from Storage or the ladder at the cliff. Here, there is 2 entrances, all of them leads to the same area, two windows on the back of the objects, having the view from a high mountain. There is a chair and a table with possibly a calculator, a file, a pen and a paper. There are 2 plant pots with the plants seen in MIRA HQ Greenhouse (the stage 2 of the task Water Plants for clearer view). In the center of the room, there's bunch of objects placed on top of one to another (5 of the objects were references to the objects in The Skeld Electrical, and the one last is an object in The Skeld Communications), on top is an antenna. Near the objects is a ladder going up to the antenna (see Fix Antenna), and near the ladder is a red suitcase. All over the corner is a fix wiring panel. Bottom near the fix wiring panel is a table with a headphone and a speaker, all the objects seen in The Skeld Communications (see Find Signal). Near the fix wiring panel and the objects is a generator panel (see Crank Generator). On the floor is a long wire coming from the electrical object (panel for short), to split into 2, one head to the crank generator, one head to another splits of 2, one leads all the way to another splits of 2, one leads to an opening entrance's long light bulb that are turned on, and one leads to an opening entrance's long light bulb that are malfunctioning. Coming back to the previous path, the other one leads to the fix wiring panel, leads over to the bottom of the cliff that are out of perspective. The wall of this area is made out of pink wood trunks, with some turns into the wall of The Skeld Communications room wall, that are cuts out for the 2 windows on the back of the objects. Over the back of the wall is a bunch of metal tiles. There are 3 big cans, 2 outside and 1 inside near the find signal table. There are 2 big green boxes, 1 outside and 1 inside near the chair next to a table.

Doorlog[]

MIRA HQ[]

Doorlog is an ability that tracks who passes over sensors in Hallway, and is useful for catching Impostors using vents. Doorlog is located in Communications at the rightmost computer on MIRA HQ.

Sabotages[]

Comms Sabotaged[]

Main article: Comms Sabotaged

Impostors can Sabotage Communications, causing Comms Sabotaged, which prevents Crewmates from viewing their task list. It also disables the four security abilities: Security cameras, Admin panel, Doorlog, and Vitals. As with most other Sabotages, the emergency button cannot be used during Comms Sabotaged.

On Polus, and Fungle Impostors can close the doors to Communications, locking people in and preventing them from doing tasks.

Trivia[]

  • The exact phrase said through Morse code when near Communications is currently unknown as the signals are not properly spaced.
  • Communications used to be named "Comms".
    • "Comms" is still used in some instances today and is a common alias used by some players.
    • The name of the Comms Sabotaged is derived from Communications.
  • If Reboot Wifi is counted as a multi-staged task, all tasks in Communications on first four maps are multi-staged.
  • Communications is the only location present on all five maps, all without vents.
  • On The Airship, the headphones worn by Burt Curtis can be seen on a stool.
  • On The Airship, there is a fake Fix Wiring panel outside Communications.
  • The ambience that is heard in Office on MIRA HQ can be heard in Communications on The Airship.
