With Anonymous Voting Off[]
Crewmate[]
- In a game with more than one Impostor, a situation may occur where two or three players vote random Crewmates simultaneously as soon as they can vote. This does not alone mean that they are Impostors, but may warrant keeping an eye on them.
- If someone lies about who they are voting, they could be An Impostor — although it may have been a misclick.
- If you accidentally vote the wrong person, announce that you have done so it does not look like you are An Impostor.
- If you really suspect someone or know they are An Impostor but nobody believes you, you could tell them to vote you next round if it's not them. Be careful however because if you're wrong you will likely be ejected afterwards.
- If everyone agrees to vote someone out but one player votes someone else, they could be An Impostor.
- If two players skip, and one of them gets voted off and is confirmed to be An Impostor, the other one is most likely also An Impostor.
- If a Crewmate being ejected would allow Impostors to win if they each kill once before the next emergency meeting, it is advisable to skip to avoid a Sabotage final kill situation.
Impostor[]
- If your partner votes immediately, try not to do this as well as this can make you both look suspicious.
- While voting a fellow Impostor is not always a great decision, it is somewhat necessary to blend in with the Crewmates when they have figured out who the other Impostor is.
- A tactic for voting is for An Impostor to tell the Crewmates to vote for their fellow Impostor, and to tell them that if the player is not An Impostor, they can vote for The Impostor employing the strategy next. This will often gain trust from some Crewmates, however, it should not be used when there are many players left, as An Impostor having to kill a large number of Crewmates without anyone to help them is almost always very difficult.
- If you're An Impostor and there is concrete evidence on your partner, you should vote them. If you don't, this can lead to Crewmates suspecting you.
- If the Crewmates are divided on who to vote, you should generally opt not to vote your partner, especially if you're close to a victory.
With Anonymous Voting On[]
Crewmate[]
As a Crewmate, it is impossible to decide who voted for who, but can be easy to detect sneaky movements. For example, if a player says that they are going to vote for Blue, but Blue receives no votes, players can tell that they did not actually vote for Blue.
Impostor[]
Impostors have more of an advantage with this setting, but precautions must be taken. Impostors should not say who they are voting for, as if they say they are going to vote for someone, but they vote for someone else, other players may notice they were lying about their vote. If someone asks An Impostor who they are voting for, they should either skip their vote (unless everyone is voting for someone) or say they are going to vote for someone and do vote for them.
