The main menu, also known as the home screen, is what appears when players launch Among Us. It contains buttons that bring them to other sections of the game, which are: Play, Inventory, Shop, News, My Account, Settings, and Credits, all are located on the left side. It also include the Friends List button (labeled in Friends) in the upper right corner. It also include a button to hide and show the player's friend code in the upper left corner. It also displays the game's version in the bottom left corner. A light can be seen within the show/hide friend code button, which indicates the player's in-game status, whether online or offline, in colors. On the PC version, whenever a player hovers over a button, it will turn green and play a sound.
During every April Fools event prior to April 1, 2022, the top left corner has a special message, saying "Happy April Fools! Enjoy ehT dlekS!".

 Practice allows players to test gameplay skills on any map of their choosing. When it is selected on the main menu, a menu will pop up, allowing the player to choose a map to play on. The player will spawn near the emergency button (except in Airship, in Engine Room), and a laptop that grants access to customize is placed nearby. In Practice, customize is used to give the player any task they want, as well as the ability to switch between being a Crewmate or an Impostor. | ||||
 Announcements allows players to view the latest developer log published by Innersloth on their website. If a player is not connected to internet, the last announcement they had viewed will appear. |
 Settings allows players to change several gameplay settings, such as their in-game controls and language. |
 Credits allows players to see the credits for the game. |
 Statistics allows players to see their in-game statistics such as amount of kills, wins in a certain gamemode, tasks completed, etc. |
 Shop allows players to see the currently available cosmetics and purchase them using in-game currency. |
