The Shop is a section on the main menu in Among Us, positioned to the right of statistics. The shop is used to buy various cosmetics and cosmetic bundles using in-game currency.
Overview[]
The shop is divided into 9 sections:
- Featured: This section showcases featured items, such as new Cosmicubes.
- Hats: Many recolors of preexisting hats can be bought here, as well as some new hats, such as the Traffic Jam.
- Skins: Some skins can be bought here.
- Visors: Many visor cosmetics can be bought here, as well as some recolors of preexisting visor cosmetics.
- Pets: Some pets can be bought here.
- Nameplates: Various nameplates can be bought here.
- Bundles: Many cosmetic bundles can be bought here. These include the map bundles (MIRA, Polus, and Airship) and the pet bundles (Brainslug, Bedcrab, Animal, Stickmin, and Crewmate).
- Cosmicubes: The currently available Cosmicubes can be bought here. The Cosmicubes that are time-limited disappear from the shop once the time runs out and their availability ends.
- Stars: Star bundles can be bought here. These are the only items that must be bought with real money.
When selecting an item to buy, a mannequin that takes the form of Fortegreen is used to preview the item before buying it. Items that have been purchased by the player are grayed out and marked with a green check mark.
Trivia[]
- Before version 2021.11.9, all items that are obtainable in the shop were displayed on a single window, and all of them were bought with real money. Because of this, the shop was unavailable on the Nintendo Switch edition, meaning that some of the items that could be bought on PC and mobile, like the map bundles and pets, were unavailable on the system.
- As of version 2021.11.9, some bundles were made free for all users (Main article: Mobile cosmetic bundles)
- Any purchases made before version 2021.11.9 are converted to Stars upon updating the game and opting to redeem purchases. However, the purchases themselves are lost during the transition.
- Version 2021.6.30 introduced a bug that was fixed in version 2021.11.9.
- Viewing a cosmetic in the shop would show the cosmetic ID instead of the name.
- On the shop viewing a cosmetic (that has the same color as your color, ex. Mini Crewmate), it will show Green's color rather than Fortegreen's color. [needs testing]
- It will sometimes appear as Red's color.
